My Mother's Favorite Prayer

Oh, what do we mean by this
letting go? We mean that you
don't have to struggle to grow.
You don't have to labor and
strain to become, Just open
the channel and let it be done.
Let go, let go let God.

Author Unknown, but it sure sounds like a letter from Daddy.

LETTER FROM HEAVEN

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say. But first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay. I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above. Here, there's no more tears of sadness; Here is just eternal love. Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight. Remember that I am with you every morning, noon and night. That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through. God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you. It's good to have you back again, you were missed while you were gone. As for your dearest family, They'll be here later on. There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man." God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do. And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you. And when you lie in bed at night the day's chores put to flight. God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night. When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years. Because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears. But do not be afraid to cry: it does relieve the pain. Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain. I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned. If I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand. But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er. I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before. There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb; But together we can do it by taking one day at a time. It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too; That as you give unto the world, the world will give to you. If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain; Then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain." And now I am contented....that my life was worthwhile. Knowing as I passed along the way I made somebody smile. So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low; Just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go. When you're walking down the street and you've got Me on your mind; I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind. And when it's time for you to go....from that body to be free. Remember you're not going.....you're coming here to Me.

A Special Thanks

It's been almost two years since my father went to his reward. In that time I've thought of him every single day. But I've also thought about two young men whose understanding and compassion gave me the opportunity to say goodbye to my father. Thanks to Rudy Vokoun, Terminal Manager of Diversified Paratransit, Inc. and David, a driver for D. P. I., I was given the chance to see my dad one last time before he went home to rest. They went out of their way when they didn't have to and I will be forever grateful to them for making this possible.

KAMECO

Here's the poem In memory of Kameco, my cat.

THE RAINBOW BRIDGE

There is a bridge connecting Heaven and Earth. It is called the Rainbow Bridge because of its many colors.

Just this side of the Rainbow Bridge there is a land of meadows, hills and valleys with lush green grass. When cherished pet passes away, they go to this place. There is always food ,water and sunshine and everyone is warm and comfortable.all the animals who have been ill and old and restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in days gone by.They play all day with each other.

There is only one small thing missing. They are not with their special person who loved them on Earth and had to be left behind. So they run and play until the days comes when one suddenly stops and looks off into the distance.Their bright eyes staring! The nose twitches! The ears are up ! Their eager body begins to quiver ! Suddenly they begin to run from the group, flying over the green grass, their legs carrying them faster and faster....

You have been spotted ! And when you and your special friend meet, you cling together in joyous reunion.Your face is kissed again and again ,your hands caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the adoring eyes of your trusting pet,so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together ,never again to be separated....

...and remember that these kids were both Undefended and Defenseless Heroes Trying to help each other escape! Because there were no armed guards, patrols or security systems to protect them from this tragedy The Sherrif's Deputy that was outside the school retreated under fire. Because we were not there none of us can question the reasoning for this, and remember that the Deputy WAS NOT THE CAUSE OF THIS TRAGEDY and needs support like everyone else!

A Dedication

I'd also like to dedicate the song on this page (top right) to all victims, survivors, family members, and caregivers whose lives are touched by cancer.

Special Prayer Request

This Was Forwarded To Me. Please Forward
It On To Everyone You Know.

CAN YOU HELP THIS LITTLE GIRL?

Prayers needed for Amanda Bundy, and her parents.

I don't have a large forwarding list but I'm hoping that some of you do. Everyone with large mailing list, please forward what I am writing to you now to ask for your help. I do not really know how to start a prayer chain, but we need a miracle.

Amanda Bundy is a 6-year-old girl in Greensburg, Pennsylvania, the daughter of some very close friends of ours. A few weeks ago her mother was giving her a hug and felt a lump on Amanda's back. An X-ray showed it to be some sort of growth, and later tests discovered a massive malignant tumor that has spread to all parts of her chest and abdomen. There are no organs that are untouched and she has more tumor in her body than she has organs.

As I write this, she is hospitalized after a biopsy of the tumor, and her parents are waiting for the results of a bone marrow test. If her bone marrow is clean, then they have a chance to save her with chemotherapy. If they find cancerous cells in her bone marrow, then the only hope to save her life is a miracle. She is in no pain yet and appears to be a perfectly healthy, beautiful little red-haired girl. She
doesn't even know she is sick yet and can't understand why she has to go to the doctor so often if she's not sick.

I am asking for your prayers on her behalf. Please pray for her healing and for strength and comfort for her family. She is only six years old. Think of a six-year-old in your life and imagine that life being cut short. You can only imagine a fraction of the pain and fear her parents are facing. They need a miracle of God's healing so that they can watch their precious firstborn grow up. Normally I hate email chain letters but now I am asking you to send this letter, or copies of it, to everybody you can think of that will pray for Amanda. Please also take her name to your church and church groups and ask others to pray for her healing.

Many thanks and may God bless each one of you who care enough to pray for a little girl's life. I am asking that each and every one of you please forward this on to everyone that you know. Just think if this was your little child going through this right now. We all know that God can heal this little angel if it is His will. Please take time to do this right now. Thank you and God bless.

A Good Friend

In kindergarten your idea of a good friend was the person who let you have the red crayon when all that was left was the ugly black one.

In first grade your idea of a good friend was the person who went to the bathroom with you and held your hand as you walked through the scary halls.

In second grade your idea of a good friend was the person who helped you stand up to the class bully.

In third grade your idea of a good friend was the person who shared their lunch with you when you forgot yours on the bus.

In fourth grade your idea of a good friend was the person who was willing to switch square dancing partners in gym so you wouldn't have to be stuck do-si-do-ing with Nasty Nicky or Smelly Susan.

In fifth grade your idea of a friend was the person who saved a seat on the back of the bus for you.

In sixth grade your idea of a friend was the person who went up to Peter or Marie, your new crush, and asked them to dance with you, so that if they said no you wouldn't have to be embarrassed.

In seventh grade your idea of a friend was the person who let you copy the social studies homework from the night before.

In eighth grade your idea of a good friend was the person who helped you pack up your stuffed animals and old baseball but didn't laugh at you when you finished and broke out into tears.

In ninth grade your idea of a good friend was the person who would go to a party thrown by a senior so you wouldn't wind up being the only freshman there.

In tenth grade your idea of a good friend was the person who changed their schedule so you would have someone to sit with at lunch.

In eleventh grade your idea of a good friend was the person who gave you rides in their new car, convinced your parents that you shouldn't be grounded, consoled you when you broke up with Fernando [or Mike] or Marcella, and found you a date to the prom.

In twelfth grade your idea of a good friend was the person who helped you pick out a college/university, assured you that you would get into that college/university, and helped you deal with your parents who were having a hard time adjusting to the idea of letting you go.

At graduation your idea of a good friend was the person who was crying on the inside but managed the biggest smile one could give as they congratulated you.

The summer after twelfth grade your idea of a good friend was the person who helped you clean up the bottles from that party, helped you sneak out of the house when you just couldn't deal with your parents, assured you that now that you and Nick or you and Susan were back together you could make it through anything, helped you pack up for university and just silently hugged you as you looked through blurry eyes at 18 years of memories you were leaving behind, and finally on those last days of childhood, went out of their way to give you reassurance that you would make it in college as well as you had these past 18 years, and most importantly sent you off to college knowing you were loved.

Now, your idea of a good friend is still the person who gives you the better of the two choices, holds your hand when you're scared, helps you fight off those who try to take advantage of you, thinks of you at times when you are not there, reminds you of what you have forgotten, helps you put the past behind you but understands when you need to hold on to it a little longer, stays with you so that you have confidence, goes out of their way to make time for you, helps you clear up your mistakes, helps you deal with pressure from others, smiles for you when they are sad, helps you become a better person, and most importantly loves you!
